Lact Units
CROFT now offers high-quality LACT units or LACT skids for use in truck loading and unloading and pipeline transfers. Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) units are the most accurate and operations friendly way of selling crude. These systems measure and record the amount of fluid pumped either into a truck or a sales pipeline and can be automated to ensure that proper quality is met by the sold product.
Pipeline LACT Units
Pipeline LACTs are connected to a sales line and are fed by a storage tank. Typically, level controls on the tank will activate the LACT unit sending the oil through the system and to the sales line. If equipped with a BS&W and diverter system, the unit can divert the rejected oil into a different tank or processing unit until the oil meets requirements. These units can be equipped with remote monitoring and other additional safety systems to give operators the ultimate visibility and flexibility.
Truck Loading/ Unloading LACTs
Loading/Unloading LACTs move oil from onsite storage to transport or from transport to bulk storage. There are controlled by an operator and loading systems can be upgraded to have preset load volumes. These units are very similar to pipeline LACTs but can be outfitted with different accessories to ease loading or unloading the trucks. Typically air release systems are needed on these units to remove air introduced from the hoses.
