Glycol Analysis- Maintain Your Existing Equipment

Tri-ethylene Glycol Dehydrators (TEG) are critical to natural gas processing, if not properly monitor the glycol can contaminate or degrade over time. CROFT Production Systems offers a comprehensive Glycol Analysis Program. Design to give operators detailed insight into the health of their dehydration unit by identifying early on to help extend the life of your equipment. Our program gives you insight into your TEG glycol condition allowing you to detect issues early and extent the lifespan of your equipment. Our sampling program includes the option to have a service member take out a sample from your glycol unit or you can purchase a kit with everything you need in order to collect and submit samples on your own.

Our Glycol Analysis Program includes:

  • Glycol Analysis obtained- one of CROFT’s technicians can conduct an on-site visit and pull a sample from your dehydrator, or you can conduct a spot check ordering (includes box container, sample jars, and step by step instructions)
  • Lab analysis- samples will be sent over to the CROFT lab to determine the glycol compositions.
  • Glycol analysis report- CROFT engineering team will review the results of the report and add recommendations such as filter and chemicals that need to be changed or added.

The Glycol Analysis Program typically takes between two to three weeks depending on the workload or any specific scope of work. We recommend glycol testing quarterly to continue monitoring glycol health and keep your TEG unit running a peak performance. You can enroll in our Glycol Analysis Program by contacting operation teams or submitting a request through our client portal. By testing and maintaining glycol health, operators can prevent unplanned shutdowns and protect their dehydration systems.

Maintian your system integrity

Maintain system integrity by stocking up on any high quality chemical products you may need at Croft Supply to keep your glycol unit running at top shape.

  • pH inhibitors– to prevent corrosion and control acidity
  • defoamers– to eliminate foaming
  • glycol solutions– to replenish and maintain proper dehydration fluid levels.

Having these essential chemicals on hand helps you control proper chemical management, avoiding downtime and extending the service life of you TEG unit.

Order glycol sampling kits online or call Croft Production Systems to start the process for your glycol testing.
